Hublot King Power Unico GMT
You're looking at the most interesting Hublot in a good while. The King Power Unico GMT is a little bit Girard-Perregaux ww.tc and a little bit Urwerk 103. The watch uses rotating satellites to display several timezones at once, though the indication is made via small red lines on the outer dial. The movement itself is pretty impressive, if not a little confusing, but then again, most world-timers are a little tricky to read. The Hublot King Power Unico GMT will be available in black ceramic or 18K rose gold, both sized at 48mm. These will hit the market sometime in early 2012.

2012 Cruise Collection Preview: Versace for H&M
After Versace for H&M caused a massive frenzy in the fashion community, the two world renowned brands announced another collaborating effort for the Spring/Summer months. Although the women’s collection continues with eccentric pastels, fruit prints and gold accents, the menswear selection will be a bit more subdued than its previous release. Comprised of 18 items, men are offered a wide range of classic Versace products including a blazer, cardigan, swim trunks, robe, and a must-need tote to name but a few, in monochromatic colors like black, white and “blogger” blue. The Versace for H&M Cruise Collection will release January 19th, exclusively online.
CUT Mag: Soft Guerilla by Kyle Bean
Kyle Bean created a series of objects dubbed “Soft Guerilla” that finds normally harmful devices like knives and grenades created out of less-than-deadly objects like feathers and Jello. The Brighton-based designer who specializes in hand crafted models, set design and art direction has certainly chosen a relevant set of objects to put his spin on given the current state of armed conflict in the world today. Other stand out replicas include brass knuckles crafted from toast as well as dynamite from popsicles.

Hublot: The "Magic Gold" Watch
Hands down one of the best looking watches I have ever seen. Hublot presents the new alloys for watchmaking and jewelry, developed in collaboration with EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne), surely upping the ante for accessories in the new year. Almost three years of collaboration and research have gone into achieving this impressive result: a completely new type of noble gold, graded 18 carat by the Central Office for Precious Metals Control. Hublot’s 18-carat offering is the world’s first scratch-resistant gold, and as such eliminates the age-old vulnerability of the material and its alloys. Hublot gold has a hardness rating of almost 1000 Vickers (most hardened steels are up to 600 Vickers). This makes Hublot the hardest in the world, and by some margin it can only really be “scratched” by a diamond. The first watches made from Magic Gold will be presented at BaselWorld 2012.
