2011 Diamond Supply Co Varsity Jacket

Comprised of the standard leather and wool materials that make varsity jackets so iconic and instantly recognizable, Diamond Supply Co.’s piece is accented by a nontraditional collar, an unorthodox (yet still quite good looking) combination of colors, and the use of an upside down capital “P” decal in lieu of the expected uppercase “D.” Dubbed the “un-Polo,” the varsity jacket is part of Diamond Supply Co.’s 2011 fall/winter lineup and should be available soon.

2011 Fall: Supra Henry

Here, in the Henry Pack, the simple, classic, eight-eyelet boot-inspired silhouette, is treated to two dynamic color stories. Henry I has a weather-resistant khaki “canvas” TUF upper, a heavyweight canvas collar, rugged black metal eyelets, and a vibrant blue, lightweight blown EVA sole. Henry II, meanwhile, has an entirely navy blue Nubuck upper, navy blue Nubuck collar, durable white metal eyelets, and a white, lightweight EVA outsole.

Nike Air Hanger

The Nike Air Hangar (what else could it have possibly been called?) is a 40,000 square foot facility in Hillsboro Airport near Portland, Oregon. Privately owned by Nike, the building houses three Gulfstream G5 jets for executive business travel, as well as a lounge area, exercise room, execuitve suites, meeting space and a gourmet kitchen. And you thought free sneakers were the best perks about working as an executive at Nike.

Undefeated: Converse Ballistic White Collection

The collection consist of two Converse styles, the Star Player High and Academy Low, each revamped in tonal white fashion. The accompanying accessory, the A.L.I.C.E. Pack is done in a nylon body with contrasting straps. These styles will be available starting tomorrow at Undefeated chapters and online.

No more Polo???

This is rather interesting news. In a new story reported exclusively by WWD, clothing company Ralph Lauren has elected to drop the Polo in their name as they extend the brand to new global heights. The origins of the name stem from 1972 when they introduced their ever popular “Polo” shirt with the three button collar.

Ralph Lauren is one of the few clothing companies that have seen a surge in sales, and are doing exceptionally well on Wall Street. Kinda crazy they would want to switch things up now.
